IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Robert
Webb
December 31, 1944 – July 21, 2024
James Robert Webb died peacefully on July 21st, 2024, at Azura Memory Care with his wife and daughter by his side after a courageous fight with Lewy Body dementia. Jim was born on December 31st, 1944, in Baldwin, Wisconsin to George and Shirley Webb. He graduated from Chetek High School in 1963 and from UWEC in 1967. He married his high school sweetheart, Sandra Peterson, from Sand Creek, Wisconsin on August 21st, 1965. They were married for 58 years. They had two children, Michael James and Kari Lynn. Jim worked for the IRS for 33 years, and after retiring he continued working for the IRS for seven years as an instructor for new employees. He was an avid golfer and a huge supporter of the CVGA Junior program. Jim created many fishing and hunting memories with his son, grandson, son-in-law, and friends which included outdoor adventures out West, Canada, Alaska, and numerous trips to northern Wisconsin. Jim and Sandy wintered in Arizona for 18 years golfing, touring the state, meeting many new friends, and being welcoming hosts to family and friends who visited them. His love and devotion to his five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren was immeasurable. Jim touched a lot of people and created memories and stories that will not be forgotten. He loved life - he loved his music, his food, his adventures, but more importantly, people. He always wanted to make connections with people, to hear their story and to tell his. He was a gentle and kind soul who had a great ability to make others smile. Jim truly danced through life instead of choosing to sit and watch. His family thanks him for the memories, the laughs, and the role model he became for all of us. We find comfort knowing he has been reunited with his son to have endless days of golfing, hunting, and fishing. Jim is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughter, Kari Fisher (Jason); grandchildren, Lexi Webb-Thomas (Jake), Casi Carter (Caleb), Nate (Jenni), Sydney and Shay. Great grandchildren; Ivy, Parker, Stone, Webb, Sully, Grace and Addie. He is survived by brothers; Dick (Chris), Bill (Kelly) and sister, Barb (Pat), along with many special nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Mike; brother, Dave; and parents, George and Shirley. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 23rd at 11:00 AM at Spirit Lutheran Church, 1310 Main Street, Eau Claire. Immediately following the service there will be a Celebration of Life at Wild Ridge Golf Course, 3905 Kane Road, Eau Claire, from 12:30 PM until 3:30 PM. Arrangements were entrusted to Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services.
