Jan M. Salter, 59, of the Village of Lake Hallie, died Friday, February 26, 2010, at Luther Hospital. She was born in Pittsburg, California on September 23, 1950, a daughter of John and Dorothy (Lurcock) McClave. \r\nJan married Lawrence J. Salter on October 11, 1969, on the naval base at Patuxent River, Maryland. She celebrated her 40th wedding anniversary this past October. .\r\nShe worked for Eau Claire Co-op, 16 years for Tru-Lock&Security, and then at Hutchinson Technology until retiring due to illness in 2005.\r\nAlong with being a loving mother, Jan loved bowling, camping, boating, and most of all spending time with her family. \r\nJan is survived by her husband, Larry; son, Christopher (Poppi) Salter of the Town of Hallie; daughter, Lori (Joel) Boutin of the Town of Lafayette; two granddaughters, Kara and Hanna; her mother, Dorothy McClave of Little River, SC; sister, Cheryl (Jack Liberstein) McClave of Longwood, NC; two brothers, Bart (June) McClave of Lexington Park, MD, Gary (Linda) McClave of Bushwood, MD; and other family and friends. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her father, aunts, uncles, and father and mother-in-law. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire with Monsignor Edmund Klimek officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the funeral home prior to the service. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.\r\nThe family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the 4th floor staff at Luther Hospital, Morris Pasternack, Jr., MD, and Lawrence Sprecher, MD.\r\n
