Jane M. Snyder, 51, of Eau Claire, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at her residence with her family by her side. Jane was born in Eau Claire on February 9, 1961, a daughter of Donald and Alvera (Spies) Merrick. Jane graduated from North High School with the Class of 1979. She also attended Chippewa Valley Technical College. Jane married John Snyder on November 16, 1991, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Jane enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, and craftwork, especially with flowers. The Christmas Holiday season was her favorite time of the year. Jane took pride in her family and was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. Jane greatly enjoyed working on household projects with her husband, John. Jane worked for the Eau Claire County Treasurer's office. Jane was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Jane is survived by her husband, John Snyder; children, Donald and Stephanie Snyder; mother, Vera Merrick of Eau Claire; sister, Cheryl (Ron) Cramer of Eau Claire; and a brother, John (Monika) Merrick of Milwaukee, WI; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends. Jane was preceded in death by her father; and grandparents.. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1310 Main St. in Eau Claire, with Pastor Gary F. Sahs officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire, and one hour prior to the service, Saturday, at the church. A private family interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire.
