Janet L. Tronsdal, 69, of Eau Claire died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital surrounded by her family.\r\nShe was born in the town of Sheridan on July 13, 1938, the daughter of Grant and Anna (Glaser) Harmon. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1956.\r\nJanet married John L. Tronsdal in Eau Claire on June 17, 1967. \r\nJanet was employed at the Eau Claire YMCA as a Membership Director for 26 years. She retired on December 1, 2005. Prior to this she was active in Girl Scouts and Campfire Girls. She also was extremely active in the International Oral Health Society with the late Dr. J.E. Phillips.\r\nJanet was an outstanding cook. She loved collecting recipes and cookbooks. She collaborated with several renowned chefs including her grandson, Daniel, a graduate of Johnson&Wales Culinary&Business School. Her family and friends were her life. Her greatest joy was to share her creations with all who came through her door.\r\nJanet is survived by her husband, John; four daughters, Peggy (George) Edwardson of Venice, FL, Theresa (Jeff) Johnson of Eau Claire, Mary Tronsdal of Minneapolis, and Peggy Ann Lenfesty of Frederick, MD and special friend Christopher Cook; grandson, Daniel Bishop of North Miami, FL and fiancé, Pamela Evans; granddaughter, Samantha Lenfesty of Frederick, MD; three sisters, Ethel Flatland of Eau Claire, Arlys (Rhinehardt) Knutson of Wheeler, and Marie (Willie) Weaver of Jim Falls; two brothers, Roy Harmon of Dallas and Raymond (Betty) Harmon of Ridgeland; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Anna Harmon; a sister, Hazel Christopherson; and a brother, Richard Harmon.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2008, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with Pastor Gary F. Sahs officiating. Interment will be at Vanceburg Cemetery in the Town of Sheridan near Ridgeland, WI. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.\r\nThe family extends a special thank you to Dr. Dean Delmastro and the staff at the Marshfield Clinic-Cancer Care and Sacred Heart Hospital for their outstanding and loving care.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family will direct all donations to Angelspace, Inc., 622 Wisconsin Street, Eau Claire, WI 54703.
