Jannette S. Linster, 98, formerly of River's Edge Apartments, Eau Claire died Monday, January 17, 2000 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona. She was born on October 9, 1901 to Dr. E.L. and Jessie (Coon) Shepard in Edgerton, Wisconsin. Jannette married Edward F. Linster on April 27, 1927 in Brandon, WI. Prior to her marriage, Jannette worked as a Laboratory Technician at her father's medical clinic. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a member of the D.A.R. \r\nShe is survived by many friends including Morris and Gladys Hayes of Carlsbad, CA. Jannette was preceded in death by her husband, Edward. \r\nJannette continued to be an avid reader, and so appreciated the Friends of the Library who brought her book requests with their visits.\r\nServices will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona, with Father Norbert J. Wilger officiating. Friends are invited to call at the Nursing Home Chapel an hour prior to services. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family. \r\nPlease direct memorials to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or the Eau Claire Humane Society.
