Jean Marie Larson, 92, passed away at Syverson Lutheran Home on January 14, 2016. She was born on February 19, 1923, in Mobridge, South Dakota to Leo and Gena (Ford) Larson. Jean's family moved to Eau Claire Wisconsin soon after her birth. After attending Eau Claire High School, she went on to work at General Electric in Chicago and then returned to Eau Claire where she worked at the family business, Larson Lumber and Hardware, until her retirement. She was well traveled, with adventures to Mexico and Europe where she shared these special trips and memories with her father, Leo. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Mannie Wold of Eau Claire; niece, Kristine Ann Drews and her husband, Jim-wah Wong, of Colorado; and nephew, Richard Melvin (Mary Ann) Wold of Eau Claire; and also by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and most recently, her sister, Thelma Lorraine Wold. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at the META A. TREBUS MEMORIAL CHAPEL in Syverson Lutheran Home, 816 Porter Avenue, Eau Claire, with Pastor Debra Boynton officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 until the time of service. A private burial will be held at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral & Cremation Services is serving her family.
