JEAN A. SCHAAF, 84, formerly of Fairmont, Minnesota, died Monday, July 13, 1998 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born on November 26, 1913 in Milwaukee to Alice and Arthur LaMotte and spent her childhood in the Rhinelander area. She was an officer in the Special Servoces (OSS) during WWII and married Douglas Schaaf of Eau Claire in 1945. They moved to Fairmont, Minnesota in 1946. She was active iin Special Education, a lifelong board member of the Salvation Army, and the Cancer Society.\r\nShe is survived by a son, Charrles of Eau Claire and two grandchildren .\r\nJean was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Douglas in 1984.\r\nMemorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral in Eau Claire. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Fairmont, Minnesota.\r\nLenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home assisted the family.\r\n
