Obituary

Jeanette E. Hotchkiss, 89, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at her home. She was born in Eau Claire on April 15, 1915, the daughter of Ralph and Amanda (Rooney) Stone. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High with the class of 1933.\r\nJeanette married Lyman D. "Peck" Hotchkiss in Eau Claire on September 24, 1936. She worked at Webster Candy Company, Neuser's Grocery Store, and retired from the Eau Claire School System as an aid at Putnam Heights School. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, and also a member of The Golden Girls Card Club for over 20 years.\r\nSurvivor's include her daughter, Karen (Butch) Button; son, Steven (Sharon), both of Eau Claire; five grandchildren, Gene (Molly) Button of Waunakee, Penny (Jeff) Webber, Don (Shelly) Button, Tony (Cathy) Button all of Eau Claire, and Chuck (Vickie) Hotchkiss of Mankato, Minnesota; seven great-grandchildren, Mike, Ned, Grace, Will, and Amanda Button, and Chelsey and Jacob Webber; sister, Vivian (Boehm) Allard of Rice Lake; and her dear and special friend, Adelia Severson of Eau Claire.\r\nJeanette was preceded in death in 1986 by her husband, Lyman, of 50 years; her parents; an infant son, Dale; and a sister, Sylvia Neuser.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2005, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Pastor Joel A. Hoelter officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at church. Arrangements are with Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services.\r\nJeanette's family requests memorials are directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 601 Fall Street, Eau Claire, WI 54703.\r\n
