Jeanette G. Poquette, 89, of Eau Claire, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Eau Claire. Jeanette was born in Eau Claire on December 1, 1922, to Arthur and Mabel (Whitney) Owens. She was united in marriage to Gordon E. Poquette on December 25, 1941. She was a member of Christ Church Cathedral in Eau Claire. Jeanette devoted much of her life to her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed following her children and grandchildren in their various activities. She was a wonderful mother that worked hard and was a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jeanette is survived by sons, Ron (Mary), Ted (Teri), Tom (Michelle), Randy (Pam), and Fred; daughter, Rochelle (John) Boos; 24 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Pate and Ruth Kothlow; sisters-in-law, Ethel Thornton and Jeanne Poquette; and many other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; her grandson, Vincent Boos; brothers, Fred Owens and Marvin Owens; sisters, Lillian Carter, Ruby Trapp, Delores Field; and other special relatives. Funeral Services for Jeanette will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire with Father Michael Greene officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire. Jeanette's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her "family" at Dearwood Assisted Living for their wonderful care and compassion, and also to the doctors and staff at Mayo Clinic Health System, Eau Claire for all of their care.
