Jeanne "Vonnie" Johnson, 80, of Eau Claire died Friday, October 9, 2009, at her home.She was born in Eau Claire on December 21, 1928, a daughter of George and Oral (Sylte) Kramer.\r\nVonnie married Harris C. Johnson in Eau Claire at Grace Lutheran Church on February 4, 1950.\r\nShe worked in the office at Gould's until her retirement, and then continued part-time employment as the book keeper at the Eau Claire Athletic Club.\r\nShe was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.\r\nVonnie adored and looked forward to each visit with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and always followed the Packers. \r\nVonnie is survived by her daughter, Kristi (Lee) Johnson of Cameron; four grandchildren, David (Tara) Graham and John Graham both of Eau Claire, Rebecca (Adam) Gerig of Fort Wayne, IN, and Hannah (Karl) Hanson of New Auburn; six great grandchildren, Jake Graham, Parker and Carson Gerig, Madi, Lexi, and Josh Hanson; her sister, Gerry (Jerome) Reiter of Eau Claire; her aunt, Jewel Myers of Eau Claire; four sisters-in-law, Doris Bergeman of Chippewa Falls, Gladys Nelson and Edna Franks both of Castro Valley, CA, and Beverly Voss of Eau Claire; and nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Harris in 1995.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2009, at Grace Lutheran Church, Eau Claire with Rev. Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
