Jeanne A. Myers, 74, of Eau Claire, died peacefully Friday, October 08, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield, WI. \r\nShe was born in Eau Claire on April 3, 1936, a daughter of Charles and Norma (Pearson) Parker.\r\nJeanne attended Elk Mound High School and graduated with the class of 1954. \r\nShe then attended nurses training in Eau Claire before marrying George Rouskey. After the death of George, she married Jerry D. Myers on November 5, 1971, in Washburn, WI.\r\nShe loved shopping, swimming, traveling, searching for morel mushrooms and wild asparagus, taking care of any animal that came her way, but most of all loved to spend time with her family and especially her grandson Connor.\r\nJeanne is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughter, Michelle (Chris) Nelson of Rockford, IL; grandson, Connor; sister, Carole (Jerry) Stoflet of Rochester,MN; niece, Becky (Kent) Bruinsma of Rochester, MN; nephew, Charlie (Kim) Stoflet of La Crosse; two brothers-in-laws, James (Diane) Myers and Lamoine (Marjorie) Myers both of Eau Claire; along with two large and loving cats and a grand puppy. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents and first husband George. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2010, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, with Rev. David J. Irgens officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home. . \r\nMemorials can be directed to the family of Jeanne which will be donated to an animal shelter in her honor.
