Obituary

Jennifer R. Jones "Poopsie", age 57, of Eau Claire, died on October 21, 2011, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Eau Claire, after courageously battling melanoma cancer. Jennifer was born on February 22, 1954, to Sterling and Rosemary (Roth) Hadrath in Mauston, WI. She graduated from Memorial High School in 1972. She later married Jeff Jones on November 11, 1978. She was a loving mother that stayed at home with her children until they went to school and then went on to drive school bus for Student Transit for 20 years, which she truly loved. One thing Jennifer looked forward to, was her time at the trailer at Winterhaven with her many friends. The love to dabble with gambling was another passion Jennifer had. Among many of her loves, flowers were her pride and joy. Jennifer is preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary; and sister, Judy Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jeffery A. Jones; children, Jonathan (Sara), Joanne and Jamie; grandson, Sterling; father, Sterling Hadrath; siblings, Jim Hadrath, Jeff Hadrath and Joanne (Dave) Spiars; and niece, Bonita Miller and her children, Jessica, Travis, Megan and Ryan; along with many other relatives and friends. Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire with Pastor Rolf Nestingen officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Mayo Clinic Health System, Cancer Center and to the Dove Healthcare staff for all their caring support.
