Jesse P. Miller, 21, of Eau Claire died, Sunday, September 12, 2004, in Eau Claire. He was born April 5, 1983, in Hettinger, North Dakota, the son of Richard and Ginger (Halter) Miller.\r\nHe lived in New England, ND until 1998 when his family moved to Clayton, WI. He graduated from Clayton High School in 2001 where he participated in FFA, art, wrestling, and track. He had many interests including fishing, hunting, hiking, wood carving, skateboarding, snowboarding, art, music, astronomy, and philosophy. He spent many hours helping his father on the family farm and enjoyed repairing things. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and considerate and loving nature.\r\n He was a business entrepreneur student at UW-Eau Claire and worked in the receiving department at Menards Distribution Center. \r\nHe is survived by his father, Richard (Marie) of Clayton; his mother, Ginger (Howard) Handcock of Dickinson, ND; two sisters, Sarah (Jesse) Flath of Hazen, ND and Rebecca Miller of Menomonie; brother, Daniel Miller of Dickinson, ND; grandparents, Rose and Julius Miller, and Verna Halter all of Dickinson, ND; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, step-siblings, and family.\r\nJesse was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Halter.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2004, at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Eau Claire, with Father William A. Dhein officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Dickinson, North Dakota at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. There will be a public prayer service 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
