Obituary

Jessie A. Luren, 85, of Eau Claire died Monday, June 11, 2007, at her home. She was born in Eau Claire on July 10, 1921, the daughter of John and Theolina (Bruvold) Julson. She grew up in East Bennett Valley and graduated from Mondovi High School.\r\nJessie married Harland L. Luren on October 4, 1947, in Eau Claire.\r\nJessie worked at J.C. Penny's and retired from A.J. Robertson Distributing Co.\r\nShe was a member of First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire and often attended services at her home church, East Bennett Valley.\r\nJessie found much enjoyment in tending to her flower gardens at home and quilting.\r\nSurvivors include her two daughters, Mary Dommer of Mondovi and Nancy (Randy) Sambolt of Hudson; four grandchildren, Tony Dommer of South Bend, IN, Tina (David) Wesner of Altoona, James Pidgeon and Laura Pidgeon both of Hudson; one great grandson, Anthony David Wesner; her sister, Mabel Bielefeldt of Altoona; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nJessie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harland in 2004; and seven brothers and sisters.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2007, at First Lutheran Church, Eau Claire with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in East Bennett Valley Cemetery, Town of Chimney Rock, WI. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the time of services Friday at church. \r\n \r\n
