Joan Norma LeBarron, 73, of Eau Claire, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Joan was born in Fond du Lac, WI, a daughter of Walter and Audrey (Brekke) Mueller. When she was one year old, her family moved back to Eau Claire, where she has been a lifelong resident. She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1956. She married Jerome "Jerry" LeBarron on July 21, 1972, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Joanie worked for Uniroyal for 27 years before retiring in 1994. She was a lifetime member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Joanie loved going camping and fishing up North with her husband, Jerry, family, and friends. Joanie's pride and joy were her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching "Wheel of Fortune". Joanie was very proud of her Swiss and Norwegian heritage and always enjoyed yodeling songs. The Christmas season was her favorite time of the year to spend with her family. Joanie will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her. Joanie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jerry; four sons, Thomas Fransway of Eau Claire, Tim (Penny) Fransway of Elk Mound, Troy (Becki Fuhrman) Fransway of Elk Mound, Scott LeBarron of Colorado; a daughter, Lori LeBarron of Jim Falls; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Tim, Sara, Samantha, Trizdin, Zachery, Bobbie, Jesse, and Nichole; fourteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harold (Yvonne) Mueller of Eau Claire, John (Patti) Mueller of Center City, MN, Charles (Linda) Mueller of Elk Mound; two sisters, Gayle (Allen) Bilderback and Karen (Dennis) Haines of Eau Claire. She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Donna Reynen; a son, Jerome LeBarron; her granddaughter, Dana Young; and her beloved dog, "Muffins". Funeral Services for Joanie will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, with Pastor Gary F. Sahs officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, WI, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Wednesday.
