Joan F. Reiter (85) of Eau Claire died Saturday, July 22, 2017 at her home. She was born August 16, 1931 in Eau Claire, WI; daughter of Wolfgang and Elizabeth (Dohm) Statz. On November 20, 1952 she married Gene J. Reiter in Chippewa Falls. Joan worked various jobs over the years, including book keeper for Gene's Electric and working at the DMV. She enjoyed golfing, spending time at the lake and spending time with her family. She is survived by five daughters, Mary Jo (Ron) Reiter-Eggers of Pinion Hills, CA, Lou Ann (Perry) Franz of Elk Mound, WI; Sally Jo (John) Iverson of Eau Claire, WI, Ann Marie (Jeff) Goodrich of Durand, WI, Rosemarie(Kyle) Doll of Elk Mound, WI; four sons, Donald (Pat) of Scottsdale, AZ, Daniel (Antje) of Eau Claire, WI, Dennis (Wendy) of Eau Claire, WI, Ed (Jordan) of Chippewa Falls, WI; daughter-in-law, Debbie Reiter of Mechanicsville, MD; twenty grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; twin sister, Jeanette Gamroth; brothers, William, Vincent (Joanne), Wilbert (Linda), Ralph (Janet); other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; sons, Patrick and Randy; daughter, Jean Marie; sisters, Elizabeth Kuehn, Mary Kuehn, Anne Hanson, Angeline Sokup, Martha Kuehn; brothers, Louis, George, John and Gilbert. A special thank-you to neighbors, Gail and Rick Yule for the caring and kindness they have shown Joan over the past years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Olaf's Catholic Church with Father Paul Hoffman officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
