John Marshall Anderson, 41, of Ellsworth and formerly of Eau Claire died Monday, February 2, 2004, as the result of a car accident near Hudson, Wisconsin. John was born in Eau Claire on September 22, 1962, to Arthur and Irene (Scovazzo) Anderson. He attended Eau Claire Schools and received a Culinary Arts degree from Chippewa Valley Technical College. John was a gifted chef specializing in fine pastries. He had worked as head pastry chef at the St. James Hotel in Red Wing, Minnesota. He was always proud to share his work with others and his family always enjoyed testing his new creations. John enjoyed traveling, and sharing his passions with his friends and family. He always could make us laugh with his favorite jokes or an animated story about life's adventures. John was admired for handling life's adversity with a smile. John was a proud and loving father as well as a fine son, brother, and uncle. John is survived by his children, Joshua and Kayla Anderson of Independence, and Stacia Anderson, of Ellsworth; his sisters, Carole Arthur of Eau Claire and Chris (Donald) Winslow of Austin, Texas; his brother, Arthur L. Anderson of Angola, New York; his nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. John was preceded in death by his mother, Irene in 2000 and his father, Arthur in 1978.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2004 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Joseph O'Hara officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
