Obituary

John O. Haugen, 45, of Eau Claire died Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at his residence.He was born on June 6, 1958, the son of Owen and Myrt (Larson) Haugen. He graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School with the class of 1976 and attended Chippewa Valley Technical College where he received his degree in Police Science. He served as a police officer at UW-Eau Claire. John married Tari Bradley in Eau Claire on July 11, 1981.\r\nJohn's greatest devotion was his two daughters. He enjoyed biking, was a talented photographer, loved all types of music, and was a loving father. John was such a delightful person, singing in the choir and an avid Green Bay Packer fan.\r\nSurvivors include his two daughters, Elizabeth and Emily Haugen and their mother, Tari Poulda all of Cadott; his mother, Myrt Haugen; brother, Paul (Alison) Haugen both of Eau Claire; sister, Amy Haugen of Oak Park, IL; three nephews and a niece, Charlie, Suveer, Catie and Charley; many aunts, uncles and cousins.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his father, Owen in 1999.\r\nJohn will always be remembered for his warm and beautiful smile, hearty laugh, and love for his daughters. We are forever saddened that his time with us was so brief, but we are comforted knowing he is now with his father and at peace.\r\nFuneral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Dr. Rev. E. Doyle Blanton officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, February 2nd and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
