Obituary

Adler, John P. "Jack", age 77, the son of John P. and Sadie O. (Pritchard) Adler, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016, after several years battling Parkinson's Disease. Jack was a life-long resident of Eau Claire, attended St. Patrick's grade school and graduated from Regis High School. He attended Eau Claire Vocational School in the drafting program and then entered the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed at Forbes AFB specializing in electronic counter measures on B-47's. Upon returning 4 years later, Jack worked for Fabritec in Amery, WI. A life-time motorcycle lover, he soon went into business with Jerry Evans selling Hodaka, Norton and Motto Guzzi motorcycles. A short time later, he and Jerry founded Eau Claire Sport Motors. Jack then retired and spent most of his time doing what he like best, restoring English motorcycles. Jack is survived by his sister, Kathleen (Jim) Olson and their son, Erik; brother, Richard (Mary) Adler and their children, Liz and Jon; brother, Paul (Renee) Adler and their children, Erin and Krista. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 416 N. Dewey St. in Eau Claire with Father George Thayilkuzhithottu officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire, and one hour prior to the Mass on Friday at the church. Interment will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Eau Claire. Military honors will be conducted at church by the Eau Claire American Legion Post #53. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Regis Catholic Schools Foundation, 2728 Mall Drive, Ste. 200, Eau Claire, WI 54701 or St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 322 Fulton St., Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54703.
