He was in the loving care of his family and friends.\r\nJohn lived in Eau Claire all his life. He had a special bond with children and people with special needs. He liked the Packers, playing cards, and going out to dinner with the card club. He was a member of the McDonald's coffee klatch. He went to Canada fishing every summer for 40 years, sharing the experience with more than 50 different family members and friends. He enjoyed weekends in Hayward with fish fries and kadupers, gambling, fishing, 4-wheeling, and hunting. His favorite place in the whole world was the North Shore of Lake Superior.\r\nThe family was blessed to be able to travel to Laughlin, NV in April 2008 and the North Shore in August 2008.\r\nJohn is survived by his wife of 38 years, Pamela; daughter, Kristin "Krisi" (John) Fahrendorf of Eagan, MN; son, John "Willie" (Jennifer) of Chippewa Falls; granddaughter, Megan Grace Lee; sister, Mary Fletty of Eau Claire; niece, Heidi Bartlett and nephew, Peter Fletty; uncle, Donald Hansen; faithful protector Ellie; and many wonderful family and friends.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie and Ounce; his aunt, Owa; and his brother-in-law, John Fletty.\r\nFuneral services will be held on 11 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2008, at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3715 London Road, Eau Claire, with Rev.
