JOHN E. LENTZ, 77, OF 308 9th Ave., Eau Claire, died Friday, December 25, 1998, at Dove Health Care Center. He was born on September 2, 1921 in Eau Claire, to Albert and Jennie (Norgard) Lentz.\r\nHe served in the European Theatre during World War II until his honorable discharge. .John married Margaret D. Polhamus on October 25, 1952, in Eau Claire. He was a bartender and a custodian in Eau Claire until his retirement. He was a member of VFW Post #305.\r\nSurvivors include, two sons, Thomas, and Michael of Eau Claire. \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret in 1994, and a sister, Ruth.\r\nGraveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta. Lenmark-Gosmrud Funeral Home is serving the family.
