John L. Tronsdal, 81, of Eau Claire died Monday, August 20, 2018, at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire. He was born in Eau Claire, on December 11, 1936, the son of Victor and Helen "Louise" (Bagley) Tronsdal. He graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1955. John married Bette Jean Hartwell in Eau Claire, in October of 1961. After Bette's death, John married Janet Louise Harmon in Eau Claire, in June of 1967. John was a blue-collar worker and union representative. He was an avid hunter, golfer and bowler. He was an epicurean and enjoyed dining with friends and family. John is survived by his three daughters, Peggy (George) Edwardson of Venice, FL, Mary Tronsdal (Jeff Johnson) of Eau Claire, and Peggy Ann (Christopher) Cook of Frederick, MD; grandson, Daniel (Sarah) Tronsdal of Ruskin, FL; granddaughter, Samantha Lenfesty of Frederick, MD; three sisters, Louise Klas of St. Paul, MN, Johanna (Darwin) Kaufman of Madison, and Ellen (Rick) Pendergast of Eau Claire; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Louise Tronsdal; a brother, Tom Tronsdal; two wives, Bette J. Tronsdal and Janet L. Tronsdal; and a daughter, Theresa Johnson. There will be a celebration of life from 3 until 5pm, on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire.
