John L. Wulff, 86, of Spooner, and formerly of 528 Union Street, Eau Claire, died Saturday, March 2, 1996 at Burnett Community Center, Grantsburg, Wisconsin.He was born June 12, 1909 in the Town of Dover to Sever and Katherine (Kindschi) Wulff. John was united in married Arlene Johnson. He served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II and was honorable discharged on March 11, 1946. He retired from farming near Ridgeland in 1961 due to a loss of his eye sight. John operated the coffee shop in the state office building until his retirement in 1981. \r\n He was a member of Lake Street United Methodist Church, the DAV and VFW Post #7232 and a former member of American Legion Post # 53.\r\nSurvivors include a son, William (Mary) of Park Forest, IL, two daughters, Vicki (Randy) Larson of Spooner and Marilyn Wulff of Chicago, IL; three grandsons, Isaac Larson, Stephen Wulff and Eric Wulff; three granddaughters, Ananda and Ingrid Larson, and Gina Wulff; two sisters, Dorothy Berg of Mondovi and Virginia (Ingvald) Melgaard of Ridgeland; many nieces and nephews.\r\nJohn was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene in 1971; his parents; two brothers, Norman and Kermit; two sisters, Martha Ronnei and Marie Wulff.Funeral Services will be at 11 A.M. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home, Eau Claire with Pastor Kent P. Ingram of Lake Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery,Eau Claire with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post # 305. Friends may call one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.\r\nThe family requests memorials be directed to The Disabled American Veterans.
