Joseph "Joey" D. Weisenbeck, 29, of Eau Claire, died Friday, July 18, 2008, at Luther Hospital.\r\nHe was born in Durand, WI on June 21, 1979, the son of Dennis and Judith (Witbeck) Weisenbeck. He graduated from Memorial High School in Eau Claire in 1997.\r\nJoey was the proud father of his daughter Mqylei "Mickey" for 8 years. \r\nHe worked in building restoration construction for BRC in Minneapolis. Joey was a very outgoing person with an infectiously kind personality. He was an energetic person with many interests and skills. \r\nJoey is survived by his 8 year old daughter, Mqylei of Eau Claire; parents, Dennis and Judith Weisenbeck of Minneapolis, MN; brother, Shawn (Alicia) Weisenbeck of Eau Claire; grandparents, Dorothy and Cyril Weisenbeck of Durand, and William and Patricia Witbeck of Winterhaven, FL; his cousin, Paul Harris, who was like a brother; his very special aunt Tess (Michael) Koski of Minneapolis and their daughter, Michelle; other special people in his life, Shilo Stencil, Keyandra, Netayo, Alyssa Rieder; Kaden; Katelyn; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and countless friends. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2008, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th St., Eau Claire, with Father John A. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, and one hour prior to services Thursday at church.\r\nIn lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to the Joseph Weisenbeck benefit account at any Royal Credit Union branch or mailed to 4501 Royal Dr Eau Claire, WI. 54701. The proceeds will benefit his daughter Mqylei.\r\n
