Joyce Eva Erickson, of Eau Claire, went to be with her Heavenly Father, on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at the age of 94. She was born on January 3, 1920, in Kadoka, SD, to Leilah (Peterman) Klungseth and Theodore "Ted" Klungseth. Joyce lived in Eau Claire since 1936. She married Howard M. Erickson on June 4, 1939, at the home of Pastor Wickman in Eleva, WI, Joyce and Howard became lifelong members of Lutheran Church of St. Matthew in 1948. Joyce was a wonderful, thoughtful, helpful person and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Joyce is survived by her son, Allan (Jeanne) Erickson; grandchildren, Amy Ghaffar, Troy (Sheila) Isaacson, Felicia Erickson, and Ryan Erickson; great-grandchildren, Whitney (Chad) Emerson, Taylor Schraeder, Ashley Isaacson, Austin Isaacson and Gavin Erickson-Rubenzer; brother, Larry Collier; brothers-in-law, Dale (Avis) Erickson and John (Clarice) Erickson; sister-in-law, Agnes Erickson; son-in-law, Ken Rudolphson, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 54 years, Howard; daughter, Marie Rudolphson; sisters, June Klungseth, and Thelma Aaaron; brothers, Dale, Bill and Francis Klungseth; and step-father, Percy Collier. Funeral services will be held at11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Lutheran Church of St. Matthew, 1915 Hogeboom Ave. in Eau Claire, with Pastor Steve Rutter officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire, on Friday, August 22, 2014, and again one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
