Joyce J. Sewilo, 72, Eau Claire died Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born in Colfax, Wisconsin on February 23, 1931, the daughter of Walter and Esther (Ailport) Smith. Joyce married Bernard Sewilo on October 2, 1948 in Chippewa Falls.\r\nShe is survived by her husband, Bernard; three sons, Bernard "Bill" Jr. (Fiancé Karen Rude) of Eau Claire, Ronald (Fiancé Pamela Carey) of Augusta and Steven (Debra) of Rice Lake; a daughter, Pamela Brooks (Fiancé Fred Lechner) of Eau Claire; twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter, "Lucky" (Janet) Smith of Chetek; two sisters Odetta Bresina (Fiancé Harry Lotts) of Bloomer and Loretta (Eugene) Pecha of Weyauwega; two brothers-in-law, Edward (Arlene) Sewilo of Prescott and Clayton Austin of Eau Claire; three sisters-in-law Edna Sewilo of Mora, MN, Ann (Robert) Wilson of Waukegan, IL and Stella Callmentor of Manitou Beach, MI; many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Vicki Johnson; five sisters, Carol Bergeron, Audrey Geist, Vera Kolpien, Janice Smith and Thelma Austin; and four brothers-in-law, John, Joseph, Frank and Louie Sewilo. \r\nGraveside memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2003 at Lakeview Cemetery. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
