JOYCE J. WENSEL, age 68, formerly of 2714 - 4th St.,Eau Claire and the Area Nursing Home, Colfax died Monday, March 9, 1998 at the Dove Health Care Center. She was born January 28, 1930 to Andrew and Tillie (Huff) Winsand in Buffalo County. She graduated from Gilmanton High School with the Class of 1948. Joyce married Lyle C. Wensel, Jr. on October 31, 1953 at Lookout Church in the Town of Dover, Buffalo County. She worked at National Presto, Shoppers Market and then as a cashier at Dukes Country Market, until her retirement in 1984. Joyce was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, and Moose Lodge #1408.\r\nSurvivors include, five sons, Steven (Kathy) of Eau Claire, Gregory (Neva) of Dearborn Heights, MI, Jeffrey (Cindy) of Eleva, Mark of Hayward, Kurt (Christine) of Colfax; nine grandchildren, Tony, Amy, Tara, Christy, Michael, Shelley, Phillip, Kelsey and Harlie; a brother Walter (Alice) Winsand of Gilmanton; three sisters, Florence Hardy of Elmwood, Thelma (Jerry) Paulson of Chetek, Muriel (Larry) Magadance of Eau Claire; and a brother-in-law, Ken Parker of Mondovi.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lyle in 1994; two brothers, Donald and Marshall Winsand; and a sister, Irene Parker.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with Pastor John E. Hosmann officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery, Town of Washington. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Fridayat Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
