Obituary

JUDITH ANN MING, 87, of Eau Claire, passed away on day, April 4, 2025, with her loved ones watching over her at Care Partners in Eau Claire. She was born on October 6, 1937 in Eau Claire, to Vilas and Jesse (Grass) Hamilton.

Judy graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School and, in 1957, married Glenn A Julson. Together, they had four children. During the early years of their marriage, she worked outside of the home taking care of special-needs children. Later on while raising her three children she worked in various roles before returning to Eau Claire.

On February 28, 1981 Judy married her soulmate Leroy (Roy) Ming and they shared over 31 wonderful years together. In 2002, after 22 years at Prange Way /Younkers, she retired. She not only sold cloths but also enjoyed buying them as well. She enjoyed that employe discount, even after retirement, until they closed.

Judy grew up in the Baptist faith and alongside her husband Roy, embraced her Christian beliefs. She was a devoted member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eau Claire where she sang in the choir until she was no longer able to attend. She also loved playing her piano, watching the Brewers and Menards on NASCAR, crocheting, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren/great grandchildren/great-great grandchild. Some of her happiest moments were spent at the lake, sitting by the fire. She and Roy cherished their time together at their trailer on Lake Holcombe and later at the family cabin on the Chippewa Flowage.

Judy is survived by daughter Cindy Moss of Boyd, son Jeff (Kathy) Julson in Eau Claire, son Rick (Susan) Julson of Chippewa Falls, step-son, Michael (Mary Kay) Ming of Menomonie, brother-in-law Vern (Dianne) Ming of Fall Creek; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy, son Daniel, stepdaughters Louise & Virgina; her parents Vilas & Jesse Hamilton, brother William, and sister Donna Clemens. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the team at Care Partners for providing comfort and care during the last nine months of Judy's life.
