Judith A. Nelson, 55, of 820 11th St. W., Altoona, died Saturday, March 9, 1996 at her home due to a serious illness. She was born May 13, 1940 in Eau Claire to Claude and Lois (Heideman) Cornell. Judy married Tom Nelson on July 15, 1961 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She held various part-time jobs but her primary activities were at home with her family and grandchildren. Judy enjoyed many good times with her friends.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Tom; a son, Mark (Debora) Nelson of Tomah; a daughter, Susan Nelson of Mpls., MN.; four grandsons, Thomas, Michael, Steven and William Nelson all of Tomah; her mother, Lois Cornell and a brother, James Cornell both of Eau Claire; and a special mother-in-law Loretta Nelson of Chippewa Falls.Judy was preceded in death by her father, Claude in 1975.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Thomas Bryan officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Garden's Cemetery, Town of Washington. Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
