Judith Leslie (Johnson) Peterson, 59, of rural Fall Creek passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2006, after her brave battle with cancer. \r\nShe was born on October 14, 1946, to Milton and Betty (Howard) Johnson of Eau Claire.\r\nJudith married Stanley W. Peterson on October 17, 1964, in Eau Claire.\r\nJudith was a passionate mother and homemaker, devoting her life to raising her children and making a cozy home. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UW-Stout and enjoyed working with acrylics and pastels. Judith brought joy and humor to her children and grandchildren, instilling in them a love of the beauties of nature, international culture, history, art, and music. She exemplified Christ's love and was a great inspiration to those who knew her.\r\nJudith is survived by her mother, Betty Johnson of Eau Claire; eight children, Leslie (Kevin) Hildebrandt of Fremont, Ingrid (Kevin) Schultz of Eau Claire, Zoe Peterson of Franklin, Ivy Joseph of Manawa, Sunny Mitchell of Eau Claire, Ted (Emily) Peterson of Eau Claire, Marta Peterson of Fall Creek, Charlette Peterson of Fall Creek, and their father Stanley Peterson of Holcombe; ten grandchildren, Chandler Hildebrandt, Mason Hildebrandt, Carter Hildebrandt, Hale Schultz, Esobel Schultz, Drake Schultz, Sophia Schultz, Bailey Peterson, Ava Peterson, and Devante Joseph; brother, Brad Johnson of Eau Claire; three sisters, Sheila Wright and Anita Twin both of Eau Claire, and Ellen (Jerry) Carroll of Cannon Falls, MN; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nJudith was preceded in death by her father, Milton Eugene Johnson; and niece, Amber Krenz.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 2, 2006, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with burial in Lakeview cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.\r\n
