Judith (DeMars) Zettler, age 78, of Eau Claire, died peacefully on June 25, 2014, at the Clark County Healthcare Center in Owen. WI. For 10 years "SHE FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT" but the Lord has now called her home. She was born in Eau Claire on September 18, 1935, to Allen W. and Lyndall A. (Ayres) DeMars. Judith attended Regis High School and graduated with the Class of 1953. She married Rueben A. Zettler on December 1, 1979, in Stillwater, MN. Judith worked for Northern States Power Company until her retirement on October 31, 1982. She was a member of Sacred Heart-St. Patrick Parish, Wisconsin Right to Life, Eau Claire & Chippewa County Humane Society. Judith is survived by her husband, Rueben; two step-sons, John (Paula) Zettler of Eau Claire and Gary (Dale) Zettler of West Allis, WI; two step-daughters, Janet Bryant of Eau Claire and Patricia Croston of Howard Lake, MN; four grandchildren, Andrew, Sydney, Amelia, and Zachary Zettler; sister-in-law, Beatrice (Howard) Schuette; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Lynn (Donald) Harper; four grandchildren, Kevin, Katie Mae, James, and Berkley Croston. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 322 Fulton Street, Eau Claire with Father George Thayilkuzhithottu officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. There will be no visitation. Judith requested memorials be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
