June R. Hillman, 78, of Eau Claire died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at her home under the care of Northwest Hospice. She was born in Augusta, WI on March 26, 1929, the daughter of Edward and Rosalie (Zerbe) Walde.\r\nJune attended grade school and high school in Augusta. \r\nJune married Donald J. Hillman on April 8, 1950, at Pinehurst Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. They were married for 57 years.\r\nShe loved music and had sung with the Eau Claire Women's Chorus and the Eau Claire Women's Club Chorus. June also loved the outdoors, to fish, and garden.\r\nShe was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church where she was very active church member.\r\nJune is survived by her husband, Donald; her son, Larry (Joey) Hillman of Eau Claire; her daughter, Lynda (Daniel) Whitaker of Eau Claire; two grandsons, Jason (Laurice) Hillman of Beloit and Matthew (Angela) Hillman of Hartford; three great granddaughters; and one great grandson.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents and many other relatives. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2007, at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1500 Peterson Ave., Eau Claire with Pastor Otto Trebelhorn officiating. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery, Lake Hallie. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.\r\nJune will be missed by all her family and friends.\r\n
