KAREN L. (PRUEHER) BOESELAGER, 38, of N.8434 Island Lake Rd., Spooner, and formerly of Eau Claire, died Wednesday September 2, 1998 at the Fairview University Hospital in Mpls. after a 2 year courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 19, 1959 in Eau Claire to Arthur and Geraldine (Lund) Prueher.\r\nShe worked as a production supervisor at Stresau Laboratory in Spooner from 1988 through 1996. \r\nKaren and Bill tied the knot in August of 1996 with an outdoor western wedding at the Prueher family cottage on the Chippewa River. Their wedding exemplified Karen's love for horses. She also loved water skiing and boating.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, William; two sons, Richard Townsend and Kevin Boeselager both at home; three step-daughters, Sarah, Nicole, and Maria Boeselager of Duluth, Minn; her mother, Geraldine; two brothers, David (Shelley) Prueher and Robert (Kelly) Prueher both of Eau Claire; five sisters, Ruth Ann (Duane) Mahder, Mary Ellen (David) Brownell, Anita Prueher (Mike Schlageter), Barbara Prueher (Peter Olson) all of Eau Claire and Jean (John) Walter of Chippewa Falls. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her father, Arthur J. Prueher in June of 1996.\r\nThere will be a visitation for family and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Spooner, with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m.Memorial services will be at 12 p.m. Friday at St. Bridgets Catholic Church in the Town of Seymour with Father Edmund Doerre officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire. Friends may call an hour prior to services Friday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home, Eau Claire is serving the family.
