Kathleen A Molkentin, 64, of Eau Claire, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at her residence. She was born on October 10, 1952, in Cumberland, WI, a daughter to Raymond and Alice (Papenfuss) Schenfeld. Kathleen married John Molkentin. She worked at the Development Center in Chippewa Falls, WI, as a supervisor in caring for mentally challenged adults. Later she worked as a QMRP at the Northern Center in Chippewa Falls, WI. Kathy was a fun loving, kind, and sincere people-person. Her loving spirit for life and love was shown to all she encountered. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Schroeder, collecting dolls, and living healthy. Her faith in God and love for Jesus was a deep devotion she was passionate about and she shared it with many. She was a beloved member of Valleybrook Church and was proud of her work last year on the church's constitution. She loved Christian music and attending concerts with friends. She will be dearly missed by all her friends who loved her and shared her in her life. She is survived by her special, loving friends, Jerry and Sue Ann Boettcher; their children, Shawn, Shane (Becky), Jeremy; grandchildren, Grady, Able, Owen and Havah; many friends at Valleybrook church; and her personal caregiver, Elizabeth Robert. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Alice Schenfeld; and brother, Buddy. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Valleybrook Church, 412 S. Barstow Street, Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave, Eau Claire, and again, two hours prior to Services at the church. Burial will be in McKinley Cemetery, Cumberland, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Valleybrook Church.
