Kathryn "Katie"Ann Schwartz, 65, 638 Mulberry St., died Wednesday, September 19, 2001 at her residence. She was born on October 31, 1935 to Roy and June (Collins) Reidy in Eau Claire. \r\nShe graduated from St. Patrick's High School. Kathryn married Leonard W. Schwartz on July 24, 1971 in Eau Claire. She was a clerical worker for Northern States Power Company for many years.\r\nKathryn enjoyed singing solos; her favorites included "Bill Bailey, Won't You Please Come Home" and "Battle Hymn of the Republic". She loved fishing and travelling with her husband.\r\nSurvivors include two sisters, Mary Reidy of Eau Claire and Joan Heggen of Tallahassee, FL; Joan's children, Sara Jo, John and Jeff Heggen; a brother-in-law, John Schwantes of Scottsdale, AZ; John's children, John, Mary Jo, Ann, Kristy, and Kathy; and two cousins, Dick Olson of Minneapolis and Nancy Moran of St. Cloud, MN.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard in May, 2000; and her sister, Patricia Schwantes.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2001 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, with Father Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
