Kathryn E. St. Arnauld, 66, of Eau Claire died Saturday, January 15, 2005 at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born in Milwaukee on May 31, 1938, the daughter of Erwin and Ruth (Lindsay) Kressin. Her family moved to Iron Mountain Michigan when she was a freshman in high school. Kay graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1956 and from Northern Michigan University in 1960. She taught English at Wilson Junior High School in Detroit for five years. \r\nKathryn married Dick St. Arnauld on July 16, 1960, at St. Mary's and St. Joseph's Church in Iron Mountain. They moved to Eau Claire in 1969 after living in the Detroit area for seven years. Kay was a teacher's aide in the Eau Claire School system for fifteen years before retiring in 2000.\r\nShe was a kind, generous and caring person. Her concern for the less fortunate was a quality that couldn't be measured. Kay was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She looked forward each Sunday to attending Mass at Newman Parish and listening to the outstanding homilies given by Father Szews. \r\nKay enjoyed volunteering at St. Francis Food Pantry and delivering Meals on Wheels. One of her biggest loves was reading and discovering new things, she enjoyed socializing with her close friends and attending various activities in the community. Kay and Dick loved to attend various sporting events such as the Eau Claire Blugold's football and basketball games. Many a summer was spent watching the Eau Claire Cavaliers, as well as the Minnesota Twins.\r\nShe loved to travel and visit new places, but was always happy to have the opportunity to live in Eau Claire because of the high quality of life here in the Chippewa Valley.\r\nKay will be missed by her family and friends, but she won't be forgotten. She was a positive role model for those who knew her.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Richard; four children, Brian of Madison, Debra (Russ) Kuehner of Waunakee, Jeffrey (Tonja Clifford) of Madison, and Kevin of Eau Claire; granddaughter, Alyson Kuehner of Waunakee; and her sister, Margaret Kressin of Fond Du Lac.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, James Kressin\r\nThe family would like to thank Dr. Delmastro and his staff, Dr. Emmerich, Dr. Frohnauer, Father Klimek, Father Szews, Sister Monica and all the caring staff at Sacred Heart Hospital. Also, thanks to all of our friends and family for their thoughts and prayers.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2005, at Newman Parish, at the Ecumenical Religious Center at UW-Eau Claire, 110 Garfield Ave., with Father George R. Szews officiating. Inurnment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Ecumenical Religious Center.
