Kathy A. Oatman, 51, of Eau Claire, WI, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at her home. Kathy was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 23, 1958, a daughter of Walter and Joan (Maas) Lorman.\r\nKathy worked for Huebsch Laundry for 23 years. Kathy was also an avid outdoorswoman who loved fishing and hunting with Smitty. She loved reading and spending time with Eric and her grandchildren. Kathy was an active member of the Sportsmans Club and will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. \r\nKathy is survived by her life partner, Dale Smith; a son, Eric Oatman; grandchildren, Jordan and Sophia; mother, Joan Lorman; two sisters, Jan Armstrong and Ann Van Dunk; and a brother, Walt Lorman.\r\nShe is preceded in death by her father.\r\nA memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, June 14, 2010, at First Lutheran Church, 1005 Oxford Ave, Eau Claire, with Pastor Greg Van Dunk officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls. Friends may call an hour prior to the services at the church on Monday.
