Kaye A. Schaller, 56, of Eau Claire, died Sunday, July 11, 2004, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield from injuries resulting from a motorcycle/deer collision. She was born in Bluffton, Ohio on April 22, 1948, the daughter of Richard and Jo Ann (Battles) Westall. She grew up in Mt. Cory, Ohio, graduating from Cory-Rawson High School in 1966, and then attended Bowling Green State University.\r\nKaye married Nelson A. Schaller in Rawson, Ohio on September 10, 1967. They lived in Findlay, Ohio, and eventually moved to Eau Claire in 1979, when they purchased the Chem-Lawn franchise here. \r\nShe was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church, the Indianhead Chapter of HOG (Harley Owners Group), and United States Tennis Assoc. 7.0 Doubles. Survivors include her husband, Nelson; two daughters, René Schaller of Milwaukee and Michelle Myers of St. Paul, MN; son, Justin (Shannon) Schaller and their daughter, Milla of Breckenridge, CO; two sisters, Barbara (Bill) Garay of Cygnet, OH, and Janet (David) Brechbill of Bluffton, OH; brother, David (Karla) Westall of Rawson, OH; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Adelbert and Avis Schaller of Findlay, OH; nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004, at Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark W. Schulz officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church, 501 E. Fillmore Ave., Eau Claire, and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the town of Washington. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family. \r\nIn lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be directed to Peace Lutheran Church.\r\n
