KENNETH W. BRUSS, age 83, of 139 S. Michigan St., died Thursday, March 12, 1998 at Luther Hospital. He was born October 12, 1914 in Athens,WI to Walter and Anna (Barkow) Bruss. Kenneth married Ione E. Hansen on July 1, 1943 in Eau Claire. He served in the U.S.Army and after World War II, they moved to Eau Claire. He worked as a tire builder at Uniroyal for 30 years until his retirement in 1974. As a collector, he enjoyed scouting the flea markets, hunting and fishing. Kenneth was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and VFW Post #305.\r\nSurvivors include a son, Gordon (Nancy) Bruss of Eau Claire; four grandchildren,Curt Bruss of Mpls,MN; Kimberly (Ryan) Higley, Kris Anne Bruss and Kari Bruss, all of Eau Claire; two great-grandsons, Justin and Logan, both of Lees Summit, MO.; and two sisters, Delores Berg of Wakefield,MI, and Loretta Tauschman of Phillips.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Ione in 1985; his parents, and a brother.\r\nKenneth was a loving father and grandfather.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with Pastor Howard Fehr officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services, Monday at the church.
