Kenneth I. Christopherson, 86, of Eau Claire, died Friday, August 12, 2005, at his home in the caring attendance of his family and St. Joseph's Hospice. He was born in the Town of Wilson, Wisconsin on May 29, 1919, the son of Christ and Edna (Daniels) Christopherson.\r\nKen married Hazel Harmon on February 1, 1941, in Sand Creek, Wisconsin.\r\nDuring World War II he served in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge on October 22, 1943.\r\nKen was a wood patternmaker by profession. He owned Christopherson Patterns in Chippewa Falls, which continues to operate with his name. Ken expressed his love of music with his fiddle, harmonica, and guitar. He also was a wonderful dancer. Ken had many interests and especially loved fishing, hunting, old cars and family gatherings. \r\nKen is survived by his six children, Anita (Robert) Bergevin of Eau Claire, Lucille (Joe) Anderson of Lake City, MN, Michael (Debra) Christopherson of Eau Claire, Joan (Charles) Tanger of Minneapolis, MN, Brenda (Michael) Rajek and Andrea Christopherson of Eau Claire; seventeen grandchildren, Maria, Christine, Anthony, Timothy, Teresa, Carolyn, Joe, Andrew, Emily, Amber, Bridget, Michael, Alison, Anna, Louise, Gretchen, and Benjamin; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, C. Paul Christopherson of Eau Claire; two sisters, Jeanette Mickelson of Eau Claire and Elsie Dahl of Colfax; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and his loving companion, Ruby Brice. \r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel in 1994; two brothers, A. Edward and Philip Christopherson; and four sisters, Rachel Kahl, Helen Nowak, Lila O'Flanagan and infant Alice Christopherson.\r\nKen was a gentleman who was loved and admired by many.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, with Pastor Gary F. Sahs officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
