Kenneth "Hoot" D. Eisenhuth, 76, of Eau Claire passed away Friday April 24, 2009, at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born in Chippewa Falls on August 14, 1932, a son of Kermit and Georgena "Gene" (Potter) Eisenhuth.\r\nKen graduated from Elk Mound High School, where he excelled at basketball and was consistently named to the Eau Claire All District 1st Team. \r\nKenny married Marie C. Mousel, the love of his life, on May 28, 1953, in Elk Mound. For many summers he and Marie shared their passion for fishing at their place in Chetek.\r\nKen retired from Uniroyal after 33 years. He then owned Hoot's Hilltop and Ken's Ace. He was an active member of the Tavern League and was a member of Moose Lodge #1408.\r\nKen served in the State of Wisconsin National Guard \r\nHis enthusiasm for sports continued throughout the years, playing on softball and baseball leagues, coaching the YMCA Young Men's League, Babe Ruth League, and American Legion which won the state tournament in 1986. Ken was an avid Vikings fan, and also enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting with his sons, bowling, dog&horse racing, and playing cards,\r\nKen is survived by his wife, Marie; his five children and their families, Daughter Theresa (Steve) Joers of St. George, UT, granddaughter Sara (Dave)Munoz, great grandchildren Benjamin, Genevieve, Julia&Simon, granddaughter Rachel (Mike)Robinson, great grandchildren, Peter & Catherine; grandson Jake (Michelle) Pieterick, great grandchildren Jada & Max; Son, Steve and grandsons Steve, Sonny, Storm & Dalton, granddaughters Heidi Hamond and Carlie VonArx; Son, William (Wanda) of Wasilla, AK, grandson Ben Neubauer, granddaughter Bobbie, great granddaughter Crystallynn Johnson, granddaughter Lisa Sundburg, great granddaughters Alexis & Chloe, grandson Kenny, granddaughters Mary & Barbara; son, David (Barb), grandsons Greg, Mark & Kyle; Son, Kevin(Michelle), granddaughter Morgan, grandson Branden Kimlinger; his mother, Georgena "Gene" Metcalf of Eau Claire; a sister, Pat (Darrel) Gardow of Eau Claire; three brothers, Charlie (Barb) of Eau Claire, Don (Myrna) of Fergus Falls, MN, Jim (Jeannie) of White Bear Lake, MN; step-sister, Shari Walton of Pittsville; stepmother, Bernice Eisenhuth of Colfax; and many nieces and nephews. \r\nHe is preceded in death by his father, Kermit Eisenhuth.\r\nA Memorial Mass will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, with Father John A. Schultz celebrating the mass. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery in Elk Mound at a later date.\r\nThe family would like to acknowledge the caring staff of Sacred Heart Hospital, Dove Heathcare, and Syverson Lutheran Home.\r\n
