Obituary

Kenneth LaVerne Wendt, 77, of Eau Claire, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Dove Healthcare in Eau Claire.\r\nHe was born in Eau Claire on July 16, 1928.\r\nKenneth married Margie Miller on June 9, 1951, in Eau Claire.\r\nHe owned his own can milk route and later delivered home milk products for Valley Farms and Dolly Madison Dairies. Kenneth also drove semi delivering wholesale products for Kemps until his retirement in 1984. He suffered with Guillain-Barre Syndrome since 1987.\r\nAmong his many hobbies were car swaps, snowmobiling, 4-wheelers, auctions, old cars, hunting and playing cards.\r\nKenneth was a member of several organizations including the Teamsters Union and the Moose Lodge. He also was a charter member of Westgate Sportsman Club and an original member and volunteer for the Township Fire Department.\r\nHe is survived by his wife, Margie; daughter, Katie (Gary) Vorce; two sons, Ron (Nancy) and Gary (Jeanne Candell); two grandsons, Garrett K. Vorce and Adam C. Wendt; and two brothers, Bernard (Cheryl) and Edward.\r\nKenneth was preceded in death by his parents.\r\nA public prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, will Father John A. Schultz officiating. Burial will be at later date in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
