Kimberley Elaine Kresen, 19 years old, beloved daughter of Steve and Kate Nowak, was killed instantly in a car accident Friday, December 13, 2013, in Rock Falls, WI. She was immediately taken into the arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She was born August 18, 1994, in La Crosse, WI to Kadren Erickson and Wesley Kresen. She was a 2012 graduate of Memorial High School in Eau Claire, WI. Prior to moving to Eau Claire in 2009, Kimmi was a student in the Holmen Schools K-10th grade. Kimmi was a bright light of life to all who knew her. She had a heart full of mercy and compassion and never ceased to respond to a person in need. She was a gifted dancer, painter, actress and cello player. She was a member of the Chippewa Valley Youth Symphony in their 2012 season. She started working at McDonalds at the age of 15, and was recently just promoted to night manager. She loved being with people and she had friends everywhere. She is survived by her parents, Steve and Kate Nowak; sister, Jillian Kresen all of Eau Claire; grandfather, Dennis Erickson of La Crosse WI; grandmother of the heart, Shen Snyder of Marshalltown, IA; numerous aunts and uncles, those closest to her heart were Dale and Kris Ann Erickson of Menomonie, WI, Karl and Audra Erickson of Fountain City, WI, and Don (Romelyn) Nowak of Eau Claire. She also loved her cousins dearly, Kyle Erickson, Katie Haase, Jacob Erickson, and Tobey and Xander Riedmann; along with many other relatives and friends. Services honoring Kimmi's life and memory will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Harvestime Church,3625 Southwind Drive, Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the funeral beginning at 11 a.m. Kimmi was a gift given by God to us to treasure for 19 years, and though our hearts are broken, we have the Peace of God that surpasses all understanding that not only has she found complete peace and total joy, she will be there to meet us when our time comes to go home to be with our lord.
