Obituary

Kurt W. Hovde, 40, of Augusta left this world much to soon on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born in Cudahy, Wisconsin on February 6, 1967, the son of Lawrence and Arlene (Gullickson) Hovde.\r\nKurt was loved by Tim and Janet Lorenz his employers, where he worked as millwright journeyman at Northwest Grain Equipment of Fall Creek repairing feedmills, fertilizer plants, and grain storage facilities.\r\nHe enjoyed his family, friends, and his dogs Scooby and Harley. His pleasure was riding his Harley-Davidson, doing his yard work and grilling out. His world revolved around his daughter, Angel who was his pride and joy.\r\nKurt will be dearly missed by his daughter, Angel Hovde of Fairchild; three sisters, Linda (Ron) Jegen of South Milwaukee, Judy (Glenn) Lone of Augusta, and Kathy (Steve Weiss) Frome of Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews; eight aunts, Beatrice (Harvey) Heuer and Shirley (Bob) Pichler both of Eau Claire, Carol (Don) Marquardt of Stanley , Vicki Gullickson of Rochester, MN, Alice Anibas of Mondovi, Vi (Bob) Wiggins and Dorothy (Jerry) Anibas both of Eau Claire, and Mina (Jim) Witt of Oconomowoc; uncle, Donnie (Julie) Hovde of Colorado; his mother Arlene's companion Tom Perry of Eau Claire; cousins and many friends.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Mike Hovde; grandparents, Otto and Selma Gullickson, and Ted and Violet Hovde; two brothers-in-law, Dale Wagner and John Frome; and three cousins, Tim Witt, Jimmy and Dan Heuer.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2007, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Eau Claire with Pastor Gary F. Sahs officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the town of Washington. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.\r\n
