LaMoine MacLaughlin, born to Elizabeth and Jess MacLaughlin, LaMoine Hugh MacLaughlin (Mac), age 89 of Eau Claire, WI passed away on Friday June 13, 2025.

Mac, an accomplished plasterer and texture finisher, retired as a Lieutenant from the City of Eau Claire Fire Department in 1990. Never without a quick joke on hand, Mac, a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, enjoyed all things fun and delighted everyone with his charismatic presence. A hard-working fixer of everything, Mac played piano, composed songs on the fly, and enjoyed cooking, camping and fishing while bringing friends and family from church, the fire department, and the community together.

Mac is survived by his loving wife, Marylyn Ann MacLaughlin, their six children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, and his two brothers, Robert and James MacLaughlin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2025 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish (448 N Dewey Street), Eau Claire, WI.  Father Michael Klos will officiate the service.  Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish on Monday from 10 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

A special heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at OakLeaf Clinic and to Mayo Clinic doctors, nurses and housekeepers for their exemplary care of Mac. He delighted all with his humor and love right up until the end. He will be missed beyond imagination.
