Lance Alan Weiner, 16, of Eau Claire, died Sunday, January 10, 2010, at his home in Eau Claire. \r\nHe was born in Eau Claire on February 6, 1993, a son of Ronald Weiner and Bonnie Johnson. \r\nLance attended school at Eau Claire Memorial High School where he currently was in his junior year. He played soccer since he was eight, and played for the JV team at Memorial. Lance was funny, witty, respectful, polite, charming, and compassionate. He had a great sense of humor, and was well liked with many friends. He will be dearly missed.\r\nLance is survived by his father, Ronald A. Weiner; mother, Bonnie Johnson; stepmother, Jodi Nuenke; a sister, Kayla Weiner; three brothers Chase Weiner, Gabriel Johnson and Jayden Johnson; grandfather, Earl Weiner; grandmother, Rose Meyer; an aunt, Lori (Doug) Williams; two uncles, Travis (Tina) Johnson and Justin Johnson; a great-aunt, Joan Westlund; seven cousins, Akeisha and Meagan Myers, Zach, Kevin, Marcus, Jamie, and Damien Johnson.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his grandmother, Janice Weiner; and a cousin, Chelsea Johnson.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with Pastor Rolf Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire and one hour prior to services Friday at church.
