Larry L. Johnson Sr., 63, of Eau Claire died on Friday, August 3, 2007, at Trempealeau County Healthcare Center, Whitehall following a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Hartford, CT, on May 15, 1944, the son of Robert R. and Violet (Golden) Johnson.\r\nLarry married B. Sue Dawson in August of 1964. They later divorced in 1972. He later married Judy (Piehl) Griffin on August 23, 1996, in Eau Claire. She passed away March 24, 2000.\r\nLarry will always be remembered as an avid hunter and fisherman.\r\nHe is survived by his two sons, Larry (Rebecca) Johnson Jr. of Eau Claire and James (Melissa) Johnson of Dennis, MS; eight grandchildren, Karen E. Johnson, Joyce M. Johnson, Marie E. Johnson, Bradley A Johnson, Shelby L. Johnson, Joshua J. Johnson, Brent Hanson, and Lisa Shewd; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Michael, Donald (Georgette), and Richard (Debbie) Johnson all of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Violet; his wife, Judy; and sister, Judy Johnson in 1977.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007, at the Sacred Heart Hospital Chapel with Father Lawrence Dunklee officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Saturday at the hospital chapel. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving his family.\r\n
