Lauren Timothy Flaten December 13, 1954 - September 12, 2024 Jackie spoke gentle, loving words to Lauren, his mom held his hand and his family stood by his bedside as Lauren passed away peacefully to his eternal reward, four days after a stroke. Lauren was baptised February 13th, 1955. He was of the Christian faith, born again and redeemed. Lauren loved fiercely. He was joyful and full of adventure. He had a peacefulness about him that was contagious. He was a truly humble man. Lauren was generous and his patience was endless. He was selfless and would express sincere gratitude for the smallest kindness shown him. He was kind and gentle. When Lauren was 9, he was in an accident that left him a paraplegic. However, throughout his life, he exhibited a positive enduring attitude in the face of enormous difficulties and challenges. God gave Lauren his perfect life partner in Jackie. They were married March 31, 1979. They shared a full, amazing 45 years as best pals. Together they fought the good fight, and kept the faith. Lauren has finished the race. Lauren said, "I do not fear the death of my physical body, my spirit will live on." Lauren will be deeply missed by his wife, Jackie. His parents Roger and Joanne Flaten, brothers Christopher (Denise) and Steven (Jodeen) Flaten and their families. Brother-in-law Kevin, Sister-in-laws, Kathy, Karen and Jean. Those that completed their earthly journey before Lauren were his in-laws Bud and Pat Adams, Brother-in-laws Mark and Dave Adams, nephew Michael Flaten. A memorial service for Lauren will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Nick Hensler officiating at West Chapel - Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services, 1405 N.
