LAURENCE "LARRY" J. HAGEN, 75, of 623 Walnut St., died Friday, December 3, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born on September 24, 1924 to Thomas and Marie (O'Donahoe) Hagen in Eau Claire.\r\nLarry served with the U.S. Army 310th Infantry Medics in France and Germany during WWII, and was awarded a Purple Heart Medal and a Bronze Star. \r\nLarry married Jean A.Glenn on August 16, 1947 in Eau Claire. He was an accountant for Roberts Wholesale Company for twenty-two years and for Luther Hospital until his retirement in 1989.\r\nHe was a member of St. James The Greater Catholic Church, a life member of both the Knights of Columbus Council #1257 and Optimist Club, a member of The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1408 since 1974, and a former member of veteran service organizations. Larry was an avid golfer and bowler.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Jean; son, Jim (Lisa) Hagen of Littleton, CO; daughter, Susan (Gary) Sam of Belleville, WI; five grandchildren, Jessica Sam, Tyler, Hannah, Michael, and Jack Hagen; brother, Thomas (Jean) Hagen of Stevens Point, WI; sister, Helen (Don) Corcoran of Foster, WI; and his cats, "Boo" and "Princess".\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Marie.\r\nFuneral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, with Father Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, where VFW Post # 305 will conduct military graveside rites.Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. There will be a public and Knights of Columbus vigil service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.\r\nFamily suggest memorials be directed to St. James The Greater Catholic Church.
