LAVINA J. GREEN, 86, a lifelong resident of Eau Claire, of 815 Chapin Street, died Monday, March 29, 1999 at her residence. She was born on November 3, 1912 in Eau Claire to Ole and Clara (Munson) Rooney. She married Vernon Green in 1938. LaVina was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed.\r\nSurvivors include a son, James (Mary) Green of Golden Valley, MN; two grandsons, Thomas (Laura) Green of Brooklyn Park, MN, and Michael (Monica) Green of Big Lake, MN; a granddaughter, Nicole Green of Crystal, MN; and four great grandsons, Jonathan, Joshua, Shawn Jr. and Michael Jr.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon; four sons, Edward and Thomas Schmidt, and Richard and Robert Green; two brothers and three sisters. \r\nFuneral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Pastor Natalie Leske of Our Savior's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery in the town of Washington. Friends may call one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. \r\nHer family requests that memorials be directed to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
